Local Walks
It goes without saying that there are many beautiful walks from the campsite, up Cader Idris, to Cregennan Lakes or down to the Mawddach Estuary for example.
Agricultural Shows & Sheep Dog Trials
A great day out and way to integrate with the farming community.
Meirionydd County show is midweek at the end of August, Royal Welsh in Builth Wells definitely worth a visit - last week in July, just a few examples of events held.
Biking
Coed y Brenin mountain bike centre, Ganllwyd. Fantastic bike ride along the old railway line cycle track to Barmouth. Bikes can be hired in Dolgellau.

Bwlchgwyn Farm Trekking Centre, Fairbourne.

Steam Railways at Fairbourne, Tywyn, Corris, Bala and Porthmadog.

Zip world and Bounce Below further to the north is a huge pull to the area- book early though to avoid disappointment.

A very well run Cinema called the Magic Lantern in Tywyn which always puts on children's films during the holidays. Theatr Fach in Dolgellau and the Dragon Theatre in Barmouth. Ty Siamas and Jazz Upstairs Dolgellau have great music nights.
